1970s vintage Chinese print Damask silk pleated midi dress / Deco / balloon sleeve

Stunning lavender / lilac all silk smock style dress by Marjorie Elizabeth.

The dress features a v-neck shape structured neck part (two covered buttons at the back for closure) with pin tuck shoulders and gathered cuffs which fall into lovely balloon sleeves..the cuffs feature three covered buttons each.

There are rows and rows of pleats falling down at either side of the dress for style and the fabric is a Chinese inspired subtle silk damask with the most luxurious silk lining.

The matching long tie belt completes the piece and can be worn at the waist or around. the neck (in a bow) or even as a headband...feel free to experiment...

This dress would look stunning with shimmery tights and perhaps a row of skinny metallic bangles...

Condition: Good vintage condition. No stains or holes. However there are areas of fading along the shoulder parts. The pleats could use a "reset" in parts to structure them again poroperly but neither of these issues is too noticeable. Price reflects.
